At least a dozen cities across China have eased COVID-19 restrictions in recent days, with Shenzhen in Guangdong Province becoming the last metropolis to scrap tests for public transport and most indoor areas.

Many other first- and second-tier cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Wuhan, also optimized similar anti-Covid mobility policies. Hospitals in many cities are also starting to accept walk-in patients without a recent PCR test.

In China’s financial hub Shanghai, authorities said on Sunday that residents will no longer need a negative test result to use public transport or enter outdoor venues such as parks and tourist attractions, while indoor business places, such as restaurants, shopping malls, and supermarkets still requires negative PCR test results within 48 hours before entry.

And the southern tech hub Shenzhen adopted a more relaxed approach starting Monday afternoon, allowing most indoor venues including offices and residential communities to open to residents with green health code.

Meanwhile, Shandong Province on Monday cancelled registration requirements for people wanting to buy fever, cough and sore throat medications. Authorities in various cities have also recently announced that people who test positive for the virus can quarantine at home. 

The changes of cities Covid measures came after two meetings held last week by Sun Chunlan, deputy prime minister of the State Council, saying that China’s epidemic prevention and control face new situations and tasks, as the omicron variant has become less pathogenic, more people got vaccinated, and the country has accumulated more experience in fighting the virus. 

China will continue efforts to promote vaccination, especially among the elderly, and speed up the preparation of medical resources, she added.

11月30日、12月1日，国务院副总理孙春兰连续两天在国家卫生健康委召开座谈会，释放出重要信号。她提到奥密克戎病毒致病力在减弱，我国疫情防控面临新形势新任务，要充分发挥各方专家优势、总结基层经验做法，推动防控措施持续优化。

近几日来，全国各地结合疫情变化形势和各地实际情况，多地因时因势调整优化防控举措，不断提高科学精准防控能力。据不完全统计，近日已有十余座城市对防疫政策作出优化调整，涉及到核酸检测、公共交通、就医、买药、人员流动等方面。

12月5日下午，深圳市新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情防控指挥部办公室发布通告，全市社区小区、办公场所、餐饮商超及各类公共场所不再查验核酸检测阴性证明，凭健康码绿码、扫场所码进入。

12月4日晚间，山东则进一步明确，取消强制“落地检”，并明确居民进入公共场所，乘坐地公共交通工具，不再查验健康码和核酸检测阴性证明。居民通过互联网平台或者药店购买“四类药品”，不再查验核酸检测阴性证明，不再需要实名登记信息。此外，多地提出“密切接触者原则上落实集中隔离观察，符合居家隔离条件的密切接触者实施居家隔离”。

Three Chinese astronauts on board the Shenzhou-14 manned spaceship returned to Earth safely on Sunday, after accomplishing their six-month space station mission. Shenzhou-14's return capsule, carrying astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, touched down at the Dongfeng landing site in north China's Inner Mongolia at 8:09 p.m. Beijing Time, according to the China Manned Space Agency.

China's central bank said Monday that it had renewed a currency swap deal with the monetary authority of the Macao SAR. The deal will allow the two sides to swap a total of 30 billion yuan for 34 billion patacas and vice versa, which aims at maintaining financial stability and supporting the economic and financial development of both sides, said the People's Bank of China (PBOC).

央行与澳门金融管理局续签双边货币互换协议：经国务院批准，近日，中国人民银行与澳门金融管理局续签了双边货币互换协议，旨在维护两地金融稳定，支持两地经济和金融发展，协议规模为300亿元人民币/340亿澳门元，协议有效期三年，经双方同意可以展期。

China's largest land electricity application project, the Bozhong-Kenli oil field under China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), on Monday completed the power transmission to three offshore platforms, a key milestone toward the oil field entering operation. According to the CNOOC, the project will be executed by transmitting 220 kilovolts alternating current to substations on three offshore platforms from a land substation under the National Grid, and transformed to 35 kilovolts alternating current for industrial and residential use.

Motorists can feast on another round of lower pump prices starting midnight Monday, as the prices of gasoline and diesel will be reduced by 440 yuan and 425 yuan per ton respectively, China’s top economic planner said Monday. Private car owners will be able to save about 17.5 yuan to fill up a 50-liter tank.

Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 100,291 vehicles in November, hitting a fresh monthly high, the U.S. carmaker said Monday. In the first 11 months, the Shanghai factory delivered more than 650,000 vehicles, far exceeding last year's total of 484,130, and its annual sales is set to hit 750,000 units in 2022.

Shares in two Chinese vaccine manufacturers skyrocketed today after their recombinant protein COVID-19 jabs have been green-lit for emergency use in China. Sinocelltech Group’s unit Shenzhou Cell Engineering and Clover Biopharma have both been informed by authorities that they can take their self-developed recombinant Covid-19 vaccines to market. Wantai Biopharm also announced today its nasal spray COVID vaccine has been approved for emergency use by the national medical products authorities.

多款国产疫苗获批紧急使用：国内两款重组新冠病毒蛋白疫苗连续获批，纳入紧急使用。12月5日午间，据四川大学官网，近期，经国家相关部门批准，四川大学华西医院研发的重组新型冠状病毒蛋白疫苗（Sf9细胞）威克欣纳入紧急使用。12月4日，神州细胞工程表示，已收到国家有关部门的函件，其自主研发的重组新冠病毒2价（Alpha/Beta 变异株）S三聚体蛋白疫苗经国家有关部门论证被纳入紧急使用。12月5日，万泰生物公告，公司鼻喷新冠疫苗经国家卫生健康委提出建议，国家药品监督管理局组织论证同意紧急使用。

More than 200,000 new energy logistics vehicles are expected to be sold in China this year, the Electric Vehicle Resource Industry Research Institute predicted. In the first 10 months of the year, China sold 167,000 new energy logistics vehicles, up 78 percent from a year earlier and exceeding the 131,000 units sold last year, according to the institute’s forecast.

新能源物流车今年有望突破20万辆：今年前10月，新能源物流车累计销量达16.7万辆，同比增长78.1%，这一数据已超过2021年全年销量(13.1万辆)。电车资源行业研究院预测，今年新能源物流车整体销量将突破20万辆大关。

China's offshore yuan firmed past the closely watched 7-per-dollar level early on Monday to the strongest level since mid-September. The offshore yuan gained roughly 0.5 percent to as high as 6.9820 per dollar, the strongest since Sept. 15, following a record weekly gain of about 2.5 percent amid economic reopening expectations. In the onshore market, China's central bank set the yuan's midpoint at the strongest since Nov. 16. 

离岸在岸人民币双双破七：12月5日早间，离岸人民币和在岸人民币双双升破7，创9月份以来新高。离岸人民币兑美元升超400点，报6.9820，创9月份以来新高。在岸人民币兑美元升破6.95关口，日内涨近1000点。

股市收盘情况

Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite gained 1.76 percent to stand above the 3200- mark as the CSI300 jumped nearly 10 percent in November, as mainland stock market witnessed monthly net inflows exceeding 60 billion yuan via the cross-border Stock Connect scheme. The Shenzhen Component also rose 0.92 percent. Hong Kong stocks close sharply higher, with the Hang Seng index rising 4.51 percent and the TECH index rallied 9.27 percent.

沪指重上3200点港股大涨：周一A股三大指数涨跌不一。截至收盘，沪指涨1.76%，重返3200点，深成指涨0.92%，创业板指跌0.26%，沪深两市全天成交额继续破万亿，两市超3300只个股上涨。港股大涨，恒指收涨4.51%，恒生科技指数收涨9.27%，科技、汽车、互联网医疗等领涨。
